Detective Comics #486 |
Detective Comics v1 #486, 1979 - From a maximum security prison, Maxie Zeus orders his subordinates to commit explosive crimes. The Batman naturally intervenes, even saving a pair of innocent bystanders.
Don Newton's drawings lack sharpness and detail on some panels, but generally does a decent job. As usual, Dan Adkins' finishes bring a high level of craft to the story. This story was later reprinted in
Tales of the Batman: Don Newton #1. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Dick Giordano, Don Heck, Joe Giella, George Tuska, Bob Smith and Jack Abel. Cover by Dick Giordano. This is 6 of 39
Detective Comics issues by
Newton.
