Detective Comics #486 - Don Newton art

Detective Comics #486
Detective Comics v1 #486, 1979 - From a maximum security prison, Maxie Zeus orders his subordinates to commit explosive crimes. The Batman naturally intervenes, even saving a pair of innocent bystanders. Don Newton's drawings lack sharpness and detail on some panels, but generally does a decent job. As usual, Dan Adkins' finishes bring a high level of craft to the story. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Dick Giordano, Don Heck, Joe Giella, George Tuska, Bob Smith and Jack Abel. Cover by Dick Giordano. This is 6 of 39 Detective Comics issues by Newton.
