Our Army at War v1 #146, 1964 - Told from the perspective of Easy Company's guns, few could visualize this odd story like Joe Kubert. While viewing the day in the life of an infantry outfit, readers also learn about the firearms carried by GIs in World War Two. Once you get past the idea of inanimate objects narrating, one realizes how thoughtfully planned the layouts and sequencing are. Kubert's excellent drawings add further credibility to the tale, though his cover is a bit simplistic. This story was later reprinted in DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #21. This silver age issue also includes artwork by Jack Abel. This is 83 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert
