Avengers v1 #15, 1965 - Despite the abundance of characters on this cover, Jack Kirby ably places and positions them in a coherent layout. The diminishing figures also strengthen the perspective. No small feat given the inclusion of the entire Avengers roster and a bevy of super-villains. Note how the horizon's tilt and slight curvature add greater interest. Based on Kirby's rough layouts, the interiors are drawn by Don Heck and Mike Esposito.
