Avengers v1 #15, 1965 - Despite the abundance of characters on this cover, Jack Kirby ably places and positions them in a coherent layout. The diminishing figures also strengthen the perspective. No small feat given the inclusion of the entire Avengers roster and a bevy of super-villains. Note how the horizon's tilt and slight curvature add greater interest. Based on Kirby's rough layouts, the interiors are drawn by Don Heck and Mike Esposito. This is 15 of 38 Avengers issues by Kirby.
