Eerie v3 #128 |
Eerie v3 #128, 1982 - Rising from the waters, a demon-possessed air force pilot raises an army of the dead to attack civilization. Stylistically, this Jim Starlin tale was drawn a few years earlier than the publication date. His carefully designed layouts are consistent with othe
r earlier works. Interestingly, it appears Neal Adams did most o
f the inking (though not credited). Adding detail and flourish, the artist also takes care not to overpower the pencils. This is the only story I'm aware of where these two distinctly different artists collaborated in a comic. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Rudy Nebres, E. R. Cruz, Peter Hsu, Jonathan Thomas and Victor de la Fuente. Bondage cover by Kirk Reinert. This is 5 of 5
Eerie issues by Adams and 6 of 6 Eerie issues by
Starlin.
