Strange Tales #89 - Jack Kirby art & cover, Steve Ditko art

 Jack Kirby
Strange Tales v1 #89, 1961 - To stop an oncoming Communist invasion, a young Asian man awakens a gargantuan creature from its long slumber. Jack Kirby designs Fin Fang Foom after legendary Chinese dragons, featured not only on the cover but two impressive splash pages. Steve Ditko draws the tale of a robbery occurring in a wealthy man's greenhouse. His page and panel designs are the most thoughtfully executed of any story within this issue. Other artists in this silver age comic include Paul Reinman. "Fin Fang Foom" was later reprinted in Where Monsters Dwell #21. This is 22 of 72 Strange Tales issues by Kirby and 25 of 82 Strange Tales issues by Ditko.
