Strange Tales #111 - Jack Kirby cover, Steve Ditko art

Jack Kirby
Strange Tales v1 #111, 1963 - Continuing as a backup feature, Dr. Strange confronts a wayward student of the Ancient One named Baron Mordo (making his first appearance). Steve Ditko does his best with the artwork, despite the small page count. His drawings are confined into small panels, but show no lack of effort. This story was alter reprinted in Marvel Treasury Edition #6. Jack Kirby's cover introduces the Asbestos Man, foil for the Human Torch. Other artists in this issue include Don Heck. See today's posts or more Ditko, Kirby or Strange Tales issues.
