Brave and the Bold v1 #52 presents 3 Battle Stars, 1964 - Fighter ace Johnny Cloud, Sgt. Rock of Easy Company and Jeb Stuart of the Haunted Tank join forces to smuggle a valuable operative out of Nazi occupied territory. Joe Kubert's cover is clumsily designed, almost a replica of the first page. Interior layouts and sequencing work together to tell a compelling story. The majority of the pages are artfully drawn, bringing together four major DC war characters (three plus one in disguise) together for the first time. This story was later reprinted in Sgt. Rock Special #2. This is 32 of 33 Brave and the Bold issues by Kubert.
