All-Star Comics #37 - Alex Toth, Joe Kubert art + 1st Injustice Society

All-Star Comics #37
All-Star Comics v1 #37, 1947 - The Injustice Society makes their debut, comprised of villains intent on taking over the country. The Justice Society disperses into geographic regions, each member (excepting Wonder Woman and Johnny Thunder) confronting a different antagonist. Alex Toth's illustrates both the Dr. Mid-nite and Atom segments, and does so with distinction. His figure drawings alone are superior to the rest of the chapters. The chapter covering Hawkman vs Vandal Savage is adequately drawn by Joe Kubert. This story was later reprinted in DC 100 Page Super Spectacular #DC-17. Other artists in this golden age comic include Carmine Infantino. This is 1 of 4 All-Star Comics issues by Toth and 1 of 1 All-Star Comics issues by Kubert. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover Injustice Society
