Detective Comics v1 #507, 1981 - Part two of the mystery of the Manikin, the Batman must stop this faceless killer before she finishes her vendetta. One of his best efforts on this title, Don Newton opens with a stunning image of the villain against a fiery backdrop. The layouts can get a bit crowded at times, but are generally well thought out. Note the interior page below, where the flashback sequence is clear, concise and separate from the present storyline. Other artists in this copper age comic include Dan Spiegle and Trevor Von Eeden. Cover by Denys Cowan and Dick Giordano. This is 26 of 39 Detective Comics issues by Newton.
