Danger Trail #5 |
Danger Trail v1 #5, 1951 - While touring the pyramids of Egypt, an American adventurer runs afoul of a plot to steal ancient artifacts.
Alex Toth's pencils are loosely delineated, but maintain a high level of detail. Panel and page layouts vary in quality. The opening splash, depicting the inside of a pharaoh’s tomb, is adequately designed but largely static. Toth’s final tale of the series falls just short of expectations. Other artists in this golden age comic include Frank Giacoia. This is 5 of 5

Cover art credited to Frank Giacoia. It's brilliant- so much detail and yet a very eye-catching composition.
