Tarzan v1 #97, 1957 - On a journey back to their kingdom, Dan-el and Natongo come to aid of two young tribesmen. In this silver age Russ Manning work, his unique style is still emerging. His larger panels in particular, are more thoughtful in composition. Still, the story falls a tad short aesthetically. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jesse Marsh, who draws the main Tarzan feature. Photo cover.
