Captain Storm #6 |
Capt. Storm v1 #6, 1965 - With his fellow soldiers held by the Nazis, a lone GI must decide to surrender or fight back, sacrificing his comrades. This story has almost non-stop action throughout, much of it capably drawn by
Joe Kubert. Multi-paneled scenes and circular close-up insets are but two of his innovative techniques used here. Perhaps predictably, Kubert also uses an enlarged panel to emphasize the story's explosive climax. This story was later reprinted in
Our Army at War #235. Other artists in this silver age comic include Irv Novick. This is 2 of 4
Captain Storm issues by
Kubert.
