One Million Years Ago #1 - Joe Kubert art & cover + 1st Tor

One Million Years Ago v1 #1 st john golden age comic book cover art by Joe Kubert
Joe Kubert
One Million Years Ago v1 #1, 1953 - Tor, prehistoric caveman created by Joe Kubert, makes his first appearance. The artist seems well-suited for this adventure series, employing a style that's spontaneous and exciting. Certain panels seem a bit crowded, but Kubert draws each page with the skillfulness of a veteran. Danny Dreams, a back-up series about an imaginative boy, is equally well done. Arguably the issue's best art resides on educational pages featuring individual dinosaurs. This issue has been partially reprinted in Tor v2 #2. The series continues with with Tor #2A. This issue also includes cover artwork by Norman Maurer. This is 1 of 1 One Million Years Ago issues by Kubert. /// key 1st appearance, 1st cover, 1st origin Tor, 1st issue
