DC Special v1 #11 presents Beware the Monsters, 1971 - Neal Adams and Bernie Wrightson join forces on this ominous cover. Despite the large amount of text, the artists create an indelible image. The inking is particularly well-crafted. Collaborations between the two artists are few, but this example perfectly melds both of their respective styles (comic book guides fail to credit Wrightson). Inside, reprints from fill most of this issue, including two Jack Kirby tales (from House of Mystery #70 and #85). Other artists in this bronze age comic include Sergio Aragones, Jack Sparling and Bernard Baily.
