Frank Brunner |
Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction v1 #6, 1975 - Frank Brunner's cover puts a science fiction twist on Jesus Christ's crucifixion. Simplistic in drawing and composition, it adds little to Michael Moorcock's bold story.
Alex Nino fares better with the interior artwork, chronicling the tale of time traveler in ancient Rome. Complex and heavily textured, his drawings sometimes border on feeling harsh. Also, the large amount of narration tends to crowd some of his panels (see interior page above). Still, Nino's work is oddly compelling and appropriate for the magazine's adult audience. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Pat Broderick, Rick Bryant, Bruce Jones, John Allison, Ruben Yandoc, Gene Colan and Dan Adkins. This is 3 of 3
