Eerie #9 - Joe Kubert art

Eerie v1 #9, 1952 - Determined to ski on the feared northern slopes, a sportsman ignores the tales of a vengeful ghost. Joe Kubert illustrates a horrific story set in a remote area of the Bavarian Alps. Though only three pages long, the artist delivers a story with texture and detail. Kubert's storytelling is efficient despite the page count. Other artists in this issue include E.R. Kinstler, Alvin C. Hollingsworth, Norman Nodel and Vince Alascia. This is number 2 of 2 Eerie issues with Kubert art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Kubert or Eerie issues. See also this blog's Kubert checklist.
