Batman #367 - Don Newton art

Batman #367
Batman v1 #367, 1984 - Humanoid-like plants amble around Gotham, finally converging at the unassuming sanctuary of Poison Ivy. Don Newton's pencils generally wilt under Alfredo Alcala's heavy-handed inks. With the exception of the interior page shown below, Newton's style is mostly absent. Even his opening splash lacks the excitement and enthusiasm of other works from the same period. On a positive note, Newton introduces a new Robin costume for Jason Todd. Cover by Ed Hannigan and Dick Giordano. This is 22 of 32 Batman issues by Newton.
