Marvel Spotlight v2 #8 / Captain Marvel - Frank Miller art & cover

Frank Miller
Marvel Spotlight v2 #8 on  Captain Marvel1980 - Two prominent scientists disappear from Earth, prompting Captain Marvel to rescue them from an unconventional planet of prisoners. Despite Frank Miller's talented pencils, Bruce Patterson's inking style mostly dominates the pages. The characters' faces and figure drawings suffer from a stiff, overworked quality. Miller's layouts and sequencing burst through on too few pages (see interior page below). By contrast, the artist's cover is rife with movement, spontaneity and exotic flair. This is number 4 of 4 Marvel Spotlight issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Marvel Spotlight issues.
