Pictorial Romances v1 #13, 1952 - Not ready to settle down, a young wife neglects her husband and child in search of fun and excitement.
Matt Baker uses a six-panel grid throughout, but varies the framing on the main character’s narrations. Combined with his excellent facial and figure drawings, the story is elegant and expressive. The artist also takes great care in contrasting domestic versus glamorous settings. Baker’s related cover could have used the same level of attention as the artwork inside. Also included in this issue is "They Said a Was a Bad Influence", a Baker reprint from
Teen-Age Diary Secrets #7. Other artists in this golden age comic include Frank Sieminsky. This is 10 of 21
