Our Army at War v1 #188 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1968 - Assigned to Easy Company, a GI nicknamed "Gypsy" spooks the whole outfit with his ominous tarot cards. Sgt. Rock, devoid of superstition, is determined to prove them wrong.
Joe Kubert deals out a drab cover composition, featuring the hero confronted with the death card. Similarly, his interior pages suffer from Jack Abel's poorly executed inks. Not even Kubert's competent layouts can salvage the disappointing results. Other artists in this silver age comic include Ross Andru and Mike Esposito. This is 123 of 236
