Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #273 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #273, 1963 - Donald Duck and his nephews embark on a group whirlwind tour of Europe. Unfortunately, the frenetic pace only allows mere seconds at each attraction.
Carl Barks' drawings pick up speed and heighten the tension, creating few breaks in the process. Still, the artist manages to include plenty of details of Venice, Italy (see interior page below). Rife with palazzos, gondolas and canals, Barks captures the city's essence masterfully. This story was later reprinted in >
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #427. Other artists in this silver age comic include Paul Murry. This is 233 of 280
