Brave and the Bold v1 #35 presents Hawkman, 1961 - Hawkman and Hawkgirl mark their 2nd silver age appearance with two terrific tales. Like the arresting cover, both feature splendid artwork by Joe Kubert's. In the first, the Matter Master uses his alchemy-based powers to commit seemingly unstoppable crimes. The second story places the heroes in Tibet, where they in search for abominable snowmen with weird powers. Both open with superb splash pages showcasing the main characters. The pages are delicately drawn, nicely detailed and masterfully paced. “Menace of the Matter Master” was reprinted in DC Special #5, while both stories later appeared in the Hawkman trade paperback.
