Creepy #44 - Mike Ploog art

Creepy #44

Creepy v1 #44, 1972
- Set in the 1700s, a pair of thieves use the mystical power of a severed hand to commit robberies. In his first professional start in comics, Mike Ploog visualizes each scene in gory detail. His grasp of layout and pacing reveal a maturity usually reserved for more seasoned artists. With the exception of the well lit tavern scenes (see interior page below), most settings occur in deep shadows. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Richard Corben, Irv Docktor, Tom Sutton, Frank Bolle, Martin Salvador and Bill Barry. This is 1 of 1 Creepy issues by Ploog. /// 1st start Mike Ploog
