Lovers #85 - non-attributed Matt Baker art

Lovers #85
Lovers v1 #85, 1957 - With her older sister unmarried, Patty worries about a proposal from her boyfriend and how that would affect their lives. Thanks to Matt Baker, both women seem youthful, attractive and almost hard to distinguish their age difference. As usual, the artist pays special attention to characters' facial expressions, gestures and figures. The opening panel displays different couples, yet Baker designs the scene as if each is in their own romantic world. This story was later reprinted in Our Love Story #38. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jay Scott Pike and Vince Colletta. Note that Baker's work this issue is not attributed in some comic guides. This is 5 of 6 Lovers issues by Baker.
