(The Return of) Gorgo v1 #2, 1961 - The enormous sea creature returns, this time unleashing his destructive force upon New York City. His rampage lays waste to the United Nations building, the Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge. At a sizable thirty pages,
Steve Ditko's art is better on some pages than others, but overall meets expectations. One of the best drawn scenes features Gorgo entangled in communications cables on the ocean floor. The thickly curved lines add a greater sense of movement on the page (see interior page below). Ditko's cover appears less effective by contrast. This is 2 of 9
