Thor #345 - Walt Simonson art & cover

Walt Simonson
Thor v1 #345, 1984 - A doctor on the run, bodies that vanish in thin air and an ancient casket all play a part in this obscure tale. As the god of thunder gathers information, Malekith the Dark Elf arrives on Earth. Walt Simonson's frenetic drawing style continues to entertain. His best page is a sidebar to the main story, depicting a creature weilding an ornate sword (see interior page below). The long vertical panels draw attention to the weapon's length and stature. This is number 20 of 41 Thor issues with Simonson art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Simonson or Thor issues. See also this blog's Walt Simonson checklist.
