Crazy Magazine #7 |
Crazy Magazine v1 #7, 1973 - Making his last contribution to the series,
Mike Ploog renders a goofier, modern-day version of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Telltale Heart". His pencils have decidedly less complexity, partially due to the story format and partially because of Frank Chiaramonte's simplified inking style. While a tad less impressive than his previous efforts, Ploog still manages to accomplish a genuinely funny and capably drawn story. Nick Cardy, an artist not often seen on Marvel titles, supplies the Kung Fu-themed painted cover. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Marie Severin, Herb Trimpe, Vic Martin, Dick Wright and Bob Foster. "The Tattletale Heart" was later reprinted in
Crazy Magazine #73. This is 3 of 3
Crazy Magazine issues by
Ploog.
