The Texan v1 #15, 1951 - Despite the title, it's odd that the last four covers primarily feature indians.
Matt Baker's cover suggests a plot within an indian tribe, reflecting the theme of his interior story. The drawings are supple and streamlined, especially his opening panel of a horse theft in progress. In the same scene, a rifle, knife and bow are angled to converge, pointing to the thief in the distance. Other artists in this golden age western comic include Howard Larsen. This is 11 of 11
