Lovers #73 |
Lovers v1 #73, 1955 - After their parents pass away, an unmarried woman looks after her younger, less responsible sister. Both are attractive and youthful, drawn impeccably by
Matt Baker. A couple's tender kiss opens the story, with minimal competing details in the background. Subsequent pages are sensitively drawn, emphasizing characters' faces and expressions. Curiously, some comic book guides fail to attribute the tale to Baker. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Hartley, Jay Scott Pike and Vince Colletta. Cover by Colletta. This is 3 of 6
Lovers issues by
Baker.
