Wyatt Earp #7 - Al Williamson art

Wyatt Earp v1 #7, 1956 - A cowboy earns the title of the fastest gun in town, much to his dismay. The brushwork on this western tale is lively, almost impressionistic in certain scenes. Al Williamson employs larger panels than usual, some noticeably lacking in background detail. Despite this, the artist's rough-hewn style works perfectly for the western genre. Other artists in this issue include Norman Maurer and John Severin (cover). This is number 2 of 4 Wyatt Earp issues with Williamson art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Williamson or Wyatt Earp issues. See also this blog's Williamson checklist.
