Savage Tales #3

2.  Savage Tales v1 #3 featuring Conan the Barbarian, 1973 - In the stunning conclusion of Robert E. Howard's "Red Nails", Conan and Valeria must survive the civil war between two underground factions. Like the previous issue, this chapter showcases some of Barry Smith's finest bronze age work. This story was later reprinted in color in both Marvel Treasury Edition #4 and Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian #1. Aside from Smith's work, Frank BrunnerJim Steranko and Al Williamson also contribute sketches and/or text illustrations. This issue also includes art by John Romita and Esteban Maroto.
