Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge v1 #9, 1955 - A locket containing Scrooge's safe combination finds its way around a lemming's neck. When the animal makes his way back home to Norway, Scrooge and company follow. Carl Barks' talents are multiplied when his superb draftsmanship is combined with a high level of detail. His artwork includes a spectacular vista of millions of lemmings crossing an expansive valley (page 15). A second tale, chronicling a race between animals and a bet between Scrooge and a Maharajah, is charmingly drawn minus the exotic locale. "Lemming with the Locket" was later reprinted in >Uncle Scrooge #104. This is 9 of 70 Uncle Scrooge issues by Barks.
