X-Men v1 #132, 1980 - Infiltrating the private
Hellfire Club, Cyclops, Phoenix, Storm and Colossus look for a connection with their foe Emma Frost. A cadre of members reveal themselves as evil mutants, while turning Jean Grey against the X-men. The opulent mansion and Victorian-era clothing are uncommon for the series but interesting artistically.
John Byrne handles the task with great skill. The level of texture and detail on the interior scenes is superb. Still, the most memorable panel occurs at the end, as a livid Wolverine emerges from the sewers. Sebastian Shaw and two fellow club members appear together for the first time (not obscured by shadows). This is 24 of 35
