Our Army At War #189 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Our Army At War v1 #189 featuring Sgt. Rock, 1968 - Tasked with blowing up a Nazi radar station, Easy Company gets assistance from the Teenage Underground Fighters of Unit 3. These young resistance fighters, taking over the responsibilities of their dead fathers, make their first appearance in this issue. Joe Kubert's cover drawing is less compelling than usual. His story pencils fare worse, buried under the simplistically applied inks of Jack Abel. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jack Sparling. This is 124 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert.
