Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #270 |
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #270, 1963 - When Daisy Duck is crowned queen of the Mistletoe Ball, Donald Duck must compete in a race for her favors. Unfortunately, among his many competitors is lucky Gladstone Gander. Although anti-littering is the prevalent theme in the story, Carl Barks' funniest gags involve the disintegration of race cars on page 2. This story was later reprinted in >Walt Disney Comics Digest #35. Other characters featured in this issue include Ludwig Von Drake, Mickey Mouse and the Big Bad Wolf. Other artists in this silver age comic include Paul Murry. This is number 230 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
