Magnus Robot Fighter #20 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter #20
Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #20, 1968 - At the request of Prince Shandor, Magnus travels to the Himalayas, where a tyrannical robot grows in size and influence over the Tibetan people. Russ Manning revels in drawing this exotic and remote locale, juxtaposing mountainous peaks and caverns with complex machinery. Several large panels suggest an enormity of scale, especially the spectacular vista on page 19. Nearing the end of his run, Manning delivers an equally appealing climax in the back-up Aliens feature. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #43. This is 20 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues by Manning. /// Manning gallery
