(Batman's) Detective Comics v1 #477, 1978 - Touting a "Batman classic" on the cover, this issue reprints the superb Neal Adams tale from Detective Comics #408. The reproduction is a step down from the original, but Marshall Rogers does supply three terrific framing pages at the beginning and end of the comic. His artwork just meets expectations, but his new cover is even better. A chaotic flurry of bats fills the frame, impeccably designed despite the large masthead and text boxes.
