Alien Worlds v1 #4, 1983 - Jeff Jones contributes a story of a futuristic couple with irreconcilable differences. His drawings are quiet and deceptively minimal. Still, the drawings contain a surprising amount of emotional depth and sophistication. Another highlight of the issue is "Land of the Fhre" (originally titled "Savage World"), a beautiful Al Williamson / Frank Frazetta reprint first published in Witzend #1. In this first full-color version, some finer details are less apparent than the original. Still, there's plenty of artistry to appreciate. Other artists in this copper age comic include Bo Hampton, Ken Steacy and Dave Stevens. This is 1 of 1 Alien Worlds issues by Jones.
