Sea Devils v1 #13, 1963 - Three different artists each draw a chapter in this issue's full length feature. In an experimental move, DC asks readers to write in and choose their favorite. Joe Kubert, Gene Colan and the team of Ross Andru / Mike Esposito all appear in the story and interact with the characters. This novel idea to drum up reader engagement does deserve kudos for its foresight. In my opinion, Kubert's drawings rise above the work of the other artists. Cover by Irv Novick.
