Detective Comics v1 #470, 1977 - Following a hunch, the Batman arrives at city's nuclear power planet for a final confrontation with Dr. Phosphorus. Once again, Walt Simonson's artwork is marred by Al Milgrom's poor inking. Several of the characters are harshly rendered (including Silver St. Cloud, a making her first appearance as a possible love interest to Bruce Wayne). The overall lack of detail makes the drawings seem crude and unfinished. This issue frankly hits a low point in Simonson's bronze age run. This story was later reprinted in the Batman Strange Apparitions trade paperback. Cover by Jim Aparo.
