Eclipse the Magazine #1 |
Eclipse the Magazine v1 #1, 1981 - Set in a future metropolis, the bird-like Klonsbon the Foozle makes his first appearance. Marshall Rogers debuts a wide array of strange characters with intricate detailing. The artist expends much effort but the results are largely mixed. Interestingly, the visuals become a bit clearer in the reprinted color version in The Foozle #3. A man undergoes torture at the hands of Satan in
Jim Starlin's tale. Told in verse, the imagery is both strange and surreal. This issue also includes artwork by Paul Gulacy, Dan Maitz, Howard Cruse, P. Craig Russell, Trina Robbins and Terry Beatty. This is 1 of 8
