Marvel Super-Heroes v1 #12, 1967 - A Kree warrior arrives on Earth on the orders of his homeworld, tasked with avenging the destruction of their intergalactic sentry. Making his first appearance, the silver age Captain Marvel escapes detection and assumes the guise of a typical Earthman. The story ties in with previous issues of Fantastic Four, but declines to show any flashbacks for context. This Stan Lee story was drawn by Gene Colan and Frank Giacoia. Cover by Colan. This issue also reprints Captain America, Human Torch and Destroyer tales from the 1940s.
