Magnus Robot Fighter #9 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #9, 1965 - A dying scientist transfers his consciousness into an indestructible robot, one intent on killing all North Am officials. Despite the story's quick pace, Russ Manning does a splendid job with the illustrations. Later scenes employ large panels to maximize drama and action. The robot's pursuit of Magnus on page 30 panel 1 is especially well designed. Manning's back-up tale is another admirable effort. This is number 9 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues with Manning art and/or covers (not including reprints).
