Captain America #100 - Jack Kirby art & cover

Captain America v1 #100 marvel comic book cover art by Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby
Captain America v1 #100, 1968 - After his first silver age appearance in Avengers #4, Captain America was co-featured in Tales of Suspense before graduating into his own title. Jack Kirby's iconic cover features many characters included in a mental flashback. Cap's memories of his resurrection and recovery fills the opening pages. Returning to the present, he rejoins the Black Panther to stop Baron Zemo's plans for planetary destruction. Fast-paced and kinetic, Jack Kirby's drawings pulsate throughout the pages. It's fitting that Kirby, Captain America's creator, would be the same artist on his second self-titled series. This is number 1 of 34 Captain America issues with Kirby art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kirby or Captain America issues. See also this blog's Kirby checklist.
