Spectacular Spider-man v2 #46 - Frank Miller cover

Frank Miller
Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-man v2 #46, 1980 - The sinister Cobra may be a contortionist, but the way Frank Miller pulls his leg above his head still looks awkward. Add to that a chaotic layout and garish promotional banner, and the results are less than satisfying. Miller does cleverly use the tv antennae to lead the eye from masthead to foreground to background. Other artists in this issue include Mike Zeck and Bruce Patterson. This is number 3 of 12 Spectacular Spider-man issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Spectacular Spider-man issues. See also this blog's Miller checklist.
