Mystical Tales #5 - Al Williamson art

Mystical Tales #5
Mystical Tales v1 #5, 1957 - A greedy explorer plans to steal treasure from a South American tribe. Though only four pages long, Al Williamson draws a convincing tropical environment full of native flora. The final scene is set in total darkness, but the artist leaves in just enough information for clarity's sake. The inks have often been attributed to Ralph Mayo, but the loose approach suggests it may have been done by Williamson himself. Other artists in this golden age comic include Syd Shores, Robert Q. Sale, Joe Maneely, Dick Ayers, Manny Stallman and John Tartaglione. This is 1 of 1 Mystical Tales issues by Williamson
