Monster Times v1 #4, 1972 - Continued from the previous issue, a husband and wife a locked in a cellar with tortuous devices. Part two of Jeff Jones' horrific homage to Edgar Allen Poe is beautifully drawn. His mastery of lighting and shadow is enhanced by his supple brushwork. The issue's newspaper stock diminishes the printing quality, but this is still among Jones' best comic book works. Why the publisher didn't print the pages in color (like the previous chapter) is a mystery. This bronze age fanzine contains various articles on Tarzan, Star Trek and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. This is 2 of 2 Monster Times issues by Jones.
