House of Mystery #220 - Alex Nino art

House of Mystery v1 #220, 1973 - A big game hunter, tiring of wild animals, dares to enter Hades and track down the devil himself. Sharp, indistinct shapes are typical of Alex Nino, and are used to full effect in this tale. His full page splash of Cerberus the Three Headed Dog is both scary and menacing. Later on, Nino's hellish landscapes dominate the pages, diminishing the characters in both size and importance. Other artists in this issue include Alfredo Alcala. This is number 4 of 14 House of Mystery issues with Nino art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Nino or House of Mystery issues. See also this blog's Alex Nino checklist.
