Werewolf By Night #13 - Mike Ploog art & cover

Werewolf by Night v1 #13 1970s marvel comic book cover art by Mike Ploog
Mike Ploog
Werewolf By Night v1 #13, 1974 - Held captive by an old sorcerer named Taboo, the werewolf becomes part of a ritual to resurrect his deformed son. Mike Ploog returns to the series, bringing back his eclectic style. More expressive than realistic, his artwork has a visceral quality that's hard to ignore. The influence of Ploog's mentor, Will Eisner, is most keenly felt on the gorgeous opening splash. The psychic girl Topaz appears in an exotic framed arch, resembling scenes from The Spirit. This is number 9 of 12 Werewolf issues with Ploog art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Ploog or Werewolf By Night issues.
