Magnus Robot Fighter #17 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #17, 1967 - Like the Trojan Horse legend, an alien arrives with a gift that conceals a group of destructive robots. These mini-robs are among Russ Manning's more creative designs, simple in shape and streamlined. Details are abundant, especially the futuristic architecture and interiors (see interior page below). Manning's opening panel replicates the cover, but he does a far superior job. The Aliens back-up feature is comparable in quality and aesthetic. This is number 17 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues with Manning art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Manning or Magnus Robot Fighter issues.
